“Being good doesn't make children happy, but being happy makes them want to be good”
St Claire's After School Clubs was started in 2002 and passed into the care of Safe and Sound Community Interest Company in April 2012.
We are situated in various locations in and around Bournemouth & East Dorset and pride ourselves in providing progressive, educational care in a fun safe environment.
Our aim at St Claire's is to provide the highest standard of affordable childcare. We firmly believe in and practice Early Years Foundation Stage principles. We believe in children being encouraged to develop their own interests, while being introduced to the world around them.
An integral part of child development is about building confidence, and giving children opportunities to explore the world around them, to learn about themselves and others in a safe, caring environment. This is at the core of everything we do.
A FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT
All our enthusiastic staff participate in continual training, both on the job and in the classroom which they then bring back to inspire policy and practice updates. We do a lot of in house training to ensure everyone is working to the same high standard.
All our staff either have Childcare qualifications or are working towards them. Our recruitment standards are high, and we do thorough and extensive checks before employment. All of our clubs have been registered with Ofsted.
WE AIM TO BE FLEXIBLE
The monthly newsletters which our parents and carers receive highlight the latest news, practice that we will be developing as a result of recent training, information about changes to policy and procedure which affect the way we care for your child and up-
KEEPING YOU INFORMED
Sometimes you have to play for a long time to be able to play like yourself.
Play gives children the opportunity to practice and so perfect the skills needed in adult life. We aim to create friendly, accepting environments where the children feel a sense of belonging, value and worthiness, through which we hope our children will progress to become responsible and independent adults. We liaise with our children's teachers in order to provide consistency in care and learning.
We work closely with parents and carers, keeping you informed about your child's progress and their daily achievements.
As many of us are working parents ourselves, we understand the dual pressures of work and family life, and do our best to help wherever possible. So if you would like extra hours in the mornings, afternoons, or holidays whether it would be for work/study time, or simply for a few extra hours for yourself, then please come and visit us in one of our clubs.
Our friendly staff are always happy to help, so if you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to approach a member at any club, anytime. Otherwise feel free to contact us via email, telephone or mail.
